Poron polyurethane foam material is a high-density polyurethane foam which boosts the foot’s natural cushioning making walking easier. It is one of the best shock & impact-absorbing materials.
This cushioned durable 3mm PORON polyurethane foam INSOLE SHEET; supplied with a template to cut insoles up to UK size 12. The handy sized sheet is big enough for 2 insoles (one pair). Your flexible insoles can, therefore, be homemade and can be transferred between several pairs of shoes as footbeds, therefore, making them very cost-effective. Also available in an adhesive version.
The 3mm will fit in most shoes and help to give you feel-good feet. The closed-cell cushioning material can also be cut to smaller-sized pads which do not bottom out, unlike low-density open-cell urethane foam. However, it does not mould to the foot and therefore does not become a total contact insole.
Cut the template to size and test inside the shoes. Adjust if necessary, then trace around the template on the material. Cut out the insole shape and insert in shoes. See video below for full instructions.
It is also available with a hypoallergenic (low allergy) adhesive backing. It can be cut into various shapes to modify other insoles to alleviate unwanted pressure areas. Alternatively, it could be used in conjunction with a piece of plain insoles material for extra thickness by removing the paper backing applying to the insoles already cut and re-cutting to shape.
Do you suffer with “Step Shock”?? This is the product for you! Not sure? - then read on.
As we get older our feet lose some of the natural cushioning that absorbs the impact of walking. This “step shock” can travel up legs and spine causing pain and discomfort in the feet knees hips back and even be the cause of headaches. This “step shock” is likely to occur in patients that have arthritis diabetes or sensitive feet. Perfect for extra cushioning in your ski boots, just cut the sheet and use as padding against your shins.
