Gel Toe Strip

Re-usable GEL TOE STRIP is similar to our GEL TOE STRIP but it is coated on one side only.

Chiroform Gel (similar to Silipos Gel) is a polymer gel containing a medical grade mineral oil surrounded by an elasticated tube.  The gel is non-compressable and helps dissipate any pressure and absorbs shock & shearing.  Its properties cannot be duplicated by conventional materials such as foams and it confirms to any uneven surface making it ideal for protection of toes and fingers.

It helps to relieve pressure and friction from sore toes whilst the mineral oil is slowly released and helps to soften and lubricate painful corns / callouses. They can be washed under the cold water tap but do not use soap as this can destroy the gel inside the strip.  In addition, do not dry this item on the radiator as this tends to dry out the mineral oil in the gel – let the product dry in the air.

Supplied as NARROW (for little toes), MEDIUM (for middle toes), and LARGE (for big toes) and in a length ideal as a 1 long toe cover for 1 toe or for small toes it can be cut into 2 shorter strips. One of the advantages over conventional toe foam is that the strips and caps to do not bottom out and therefore last longer offering more reliable protection. These strips tend to last for a minimum of 3 weeks when used regularly. 

It should be used on open wounds due to the mineral oil in the gel and should be removed at night giving the foot time to breathe.
