Stretchable hypo-allergenic ADHESIVE STRAPPING as used by Chiropodists / Podiatrists for fixing dressings and padding in place. It is often safe to use even for those allergic to plasters. Supplied in 2.5cm or 5cm wide strips and WHITE or FLESH colour.
Stretchable hypo-allergenic
strapping WHITE in colour e.g. Mefix or Hypafix or elastic plaster bandage
FLESH in colour e.g. Hapla.
Both these have microporous
hypo-allergenic adhesive. They are both stretchable and are
used to fix dressings in place. They are
both manufactured from a man-made fabric which will confirm to the contours of
the foot and ankle.
Cut length & shape required,
and curve corners to prevent them rolling up. Peel off paper backing and place
in required position (stretching to conform if necessary). Press firmly to
secure. The adhesive is low allergy (hypo-allergenic) but do not leave strapping
in situ too long. Note that 10m roll is unstretched length.
Care should be taken with removal
to avoid tearing the skin. If a problem, soak the foot in warm soapy water
before removal.
