A microporous polyurethane cell structure with a bacteria
prohibitive ingredient to keep feet cool, comfortable and fresh. Poron boosts the foot’s natural cushioning, making walking
easier. Can be used in several pairs of shoes, therefore
cost effective. Sold in handy sized sheets – each big enough for
2 insoles (one pair).
It is available in different thicknesses. The thicker the insole, the more cushioning, but also the more room that is required inside any shoes. The 3mm thickness will fit in most shoes.
Poron is a durable, cushioned, general-purpose insole material used to protect against “step shock” –
as we get older our feet lose some of the natural cushioning that absorbs the
impact of walking. This “step shock” can travel
up legs and spine causing pain and discomfort in the feet, knees, hips, back and even be the
cause of headaches. This “step shock” is likely to occur in patients that have
arthritis, diabetes or sensitive feet.
Cut the template to size, and test inside the shoes. Adjust if necessary, then trace around the
template on the material. Cut out the
insole shape and insert in shoes.
It is also available with a hypo-allergenic (low allergy) adhesive backing. It can be cut into various shapes to modify other insoles to alleviate unwanted pressure areas. Alternatively, it could be used in conjunction with a piece of plain insoles material for
extra thickness, by removing the paper backing, applying to the insoles already
cut and recutting to shape.
